What to Expect at Your Hearing Assessment
You’re in the spotlight from the moment you walk in. Take a seat, relax, and let us guide you through a step-by-step journey to better hearing. Here’s what you can expect:

1.
A Warm Welcome & Friendly Chat
You’ll be greeted and made comfortable. Feel free to share any concerns or questions; this is your time, and we want you to feel at ease.
2.
Ear Health Check
Your clinician will gently look inside your ears to check for any wax buildup or concerns. If your ears are blocked, don’t worry! We can clean them before your hearing assessment.
3.
Hearing Tests, Explained
Pure-tone Audiometry
You benefit from clear insights into the sounds you can and can’t hear. You’ll put on a set of headphones and listen for a series of tones at various pitches and volumes. Whenever you hear a tone, you simply press a button. Your responses help us create your unique hearing profile for precise recommendations.
Speech Audiometry
Here, you’ll listen to spoken words in a quiet setting. This helps us understand your speech reception threshold, showing us the softest speech you can hear and understand. You benefit from results that help us optimize meaningful sounds, like voices and important announcements.
Tympanometry
This gentle test uses a soft puff of air to see how well your eardrum moves. You get straightforward answers about your middle ear, like whether there’s stiffness or fluid, so your comfort and long-term hearing are always in focus.
Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) Testing
Healthy ears make tiny “echoes” in response to sound. We’ll check for these to see how well your inner ear is working. With these insights, you gain peace of mind and a science-backed look at your hearing wellness.
4.
Your Results & Recommendations
You get real answers the same day, plus guidance on your next steps. If hearing aids or other support can help, our clinicians will explain your options with zero pressure.
